Well I'll start by saying hi everyone, sorry I haven't written in a while. I have been doing what most everyone else has been doing - browsing the Black Friday sales, watching Youtube and just relaxing.
I have also really been putting in a lot of effort into decorating my home, and buying decor. It is really one thing that has brought me joy over the months and its a process that never ends (not that I want it to- this shit is fun!)
I am walking into 2022 a bit unsure on my next steps regarding KO Vintage. I really want to thank everyone who has supported me in starting my business this year and it has definitely showed me a lot about myself. I really don't do it for money, fashion has always been in my heart and I wanted to share it, albeit in a small and quiet way.
As I look towards 2022, I have a few goals I want to achieve with my platform, including sourcing more amazing pieces, affordable pieces accessible to everyone and also to start creating my own clothing and jewelry. It really is scary for me to type this last part because I am afraid of the long process it's going to be and I am still unsure on how I would want my brand to turn out. I have a lot to think about but in the meantime, here is what I have been up to in the past couple of months!
Celebrated my boyfriends birthday in Kawazu
For Sebastian's birthday we took the train down to Kawazu, Shizuoka to enjoy the natural waterfall onsen. There we enjoyed beautiful views from our room, relaxing hot water springs, and great food! We had never been to this particular part of Shizuoka and I definitely would recommend it for an over night stay!
Decorated my home
I have been so obsessed with adding new decor to our home and really like the gradual process of adding pieces that fit into the space and that I enjoy looking at. My latest purchase was this skateboard bench from RePlayce, my favorite furniture store in Tokyo. I also went again yesterday and saw a beautiful acrylic print, an may have to go back for it...
Also my boyfriend used his awesome Director of Photography skills to help me film our apartment tour finally!
I am really excited to start editing the video with him, and for this to be my first video in the creation of my Youtube channel!
Eating good
I have been trying new restaurants in my area, and stumbled upon this lovely bistro cafe which has the freshest food I've had in a while. Everything was very light and tasty, making it a perfect spot for a lunch date. The restaurant name is Good Eat Village, located right by Yoyogi-Uehara station.
Shopping
I did a bit of window shopping in the pricey shopping district of Omotesando, but I must say most of my Christmas shopping has been done online. Feel free to drop in the comments your favorite Black Friday sales, even though I don't need to be spending any more money hahaha.
Speaking of Black Friday, everything on KO Vintage will be 15% from now until the end of November, and the code to use is KO15. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about sourcing new items, any items on the site or any general inquiries!
I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving and a great holiday season ahead!
xoxo,
Uzochi
