My Closet Journey

Updated: Jan 26, 2021

Part of the reason why I started KO Vintage was to get back into sync with what I wanted to look like and the clothes I wanted to invest in and buy.

See, for me, clothes are an investment. I never was fond of fast fashion because it just seemed like throwing away good money with not much to show for it.

I haven't been feeling really great about my closet which resulted in many trips to my local thrift store to sell my clothes. I have been very much in a state of transition with my closet and trying to figure out what I really like and what pieces I will really cherish for a while.

This particular Top (dress) is Pleat Please Issey Miyake, one of my favorite brands. It is unique because of the padded collar. I found it in a vintage store in Shimokitazawa, and thought about it for a month.

Usually when I cant stop thinking of a piece, thats my confirmation to go ahead and buy it. One month later it was still there so I took it as a sign it was supposed to be mine.

I paired it with a Gucci pouchette, which will be available for sale on KO Vintage.

The boots are Zara, and the best Zara shoes Iv'e ever bought. I always find Zara shoes to be so uncomfortable, but these are like walking in sneakers!

I really like Dior jewelry and mixing gold and silver is usually cringe, but I like it with these particular pieces. The silver choker will be for sale on KO Vintage.

Does anyone else have the closet blues or is in the process of rebuilding their wardrobe?
