Events in Tokyo: Loewe Crafted World exhibit

Last week I attended the Loewe Crafted World exhibition in Harajuku, Tokyo!

It was one of the best free exhibits I’ve ever been to in Tokyo and honestly they could have charged money and I still would’ve went.

Runway archives were present in this white room and it was honestly such an interesting experience. The thing I like about Loewe and it’s branding is that it finds a way to be whimsical, with an certain attention to detail that doesn’t feel too gaudy or forced.

This car dress stood out to me and was part of the Loewe SS 2022 runway show!

we weren't allowed to take live video of the exhibition but here is a photo of me turning the lever which moved the various pictures around. It was pretty cool!

Rihanna’s Super Bowl outfit, one of Beyoncé’s tour outfits and a gown worn by Taylor Russell were also on display!

There were also putting on display some pottery and other crafts. I’m not sure if Loewe sells these crafts or if they were just apart of the exhibit.

They also displayed some archive pieces from their collaboration with Hayao Miyazaki’s Ghibli studios. I wonder what the retail on this leather jacket is!

This was one of my favorite parts of the exhibit! It was a sticker wall, where you could select one sticker and place it anywhere on the way or floor.

I chose a submarine sticker and stuck it on the floor!

There were also the leather making and various other tools used to craft the bags on display.

Lastly we visited the gift shop which was located at the end of the exhibit. The bags were quite expensive (about ¥500,000-600,000… the price of a good used Chanel bag here) so we just looked and admired the craftsmanship 😅

Anyway, the shop was set up very beautifully and it was nice to take a couple of pictures in there.

Lastly, we took some pictures for OOTD and went to Bamboo for dinner. It’s my first time going to this restaurant and I was impressed with the atmosphere, taste and prices. It’s a nice place to go in Omotesando after a day of shopping and walking around. It also made me feel like I was back in Europe which I do miss a lot. This year my big trip is to America, which honestly I’m not that excited about 😂 but I’ll make the best of it and try to serve as many looks as I can.

Last day for shipping in case you were thinking about buying something is May 1st JST.

P.S this exhbit is running until May 5th and you can reserve your time slot via LINE.

Everyone have a good one 🍄🎾✂️
